Neopac unveiled PaperX FiberTop — the first cosmetics tube whose body, shoulder and cap are made entirely of wood fiber.
Swiss tube manufacturer Neopac unveiled at Pharmapack in Paris (January 21-22, 2026) a line of new sustainable solutions developed to meet the requirements of the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation PPWR.
The landmark launch was the PaperX FiberTop Tube — according to the company, the first tube whose body, shoulder and cap are made entirely of wood-fiber-based material.
Thanks to a fiber content of about 85%, the packaging is recyclable in the traditional paper recycling stream in line with the latest CEPI/4evergreen (2025) recommendations and reduces fossil material use by up to 87% compared to conventional tubes.
The tube is made from certified FSC food-grade materials, features an EVOH barrier layer to protect the product and suits applications such as face and body care, hand cream, sunscreen and toothpaste.
Beyond sustainability, the novelty meets modern brand design requirements:
- the tube can carry custom printing;
- the material is suitable for embossing;
- the surface has a pleasant tactile texture.
The second novelty was the airless NeoDose Solo tube, fully recyclable and made of mono-material. A built-in MDO PE EVOH barrier protects sensitive formulations from oxygen and moisture, while vacuum-dosing technology ensures precise and even product delivery.
Each press of the polyethylene pump delivers a controlled amount of product, promoting hygienic dosing and minimizing waste down to the last press.
The lineup also includes ISCC+ certified tubes made from recycled and biodegradable materials.
Since 2026 the EU is tightening packaging requirements: companies must prove the origin of each packaging component and its further recyclability. Neopac's developments give cosmetic and pharma brands a ready answer to these challenges, combining premium aesthetics with circular-economy principles.
