On the sidelines of VEF-2026, Farmasyntez Group launched a new pharma plant in Ussuriysk with a capacity of 12 million packages a year and investments of 1.4 billion rubles.
Farmasyntez Group has officially launched a new pharmaceutical production facility in Ussuriysk (Primorsky Krai). The plant opening ceremony took place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum (VEF-2026) with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The plant's design capacity is 12 million medicine packages a year, and total investment in the project reached 1.4 billion rubles. The enterprise was implemented under the state import substitution program Pharma-2030 using support measures provided for regional investment projects.
The new production is especially significant because 90% of manufactured items are included in the list of vital and essential medicines (VED). In total, the enterprise plans to produce 24 medicines of various pharmacotherapeutic groups.
The main focus of the plant's production program is on critically important medicine categories:
- amino acid solutions and their fat emulsions for supportive therapy of severely ill patients;
- peritoneal dialysis solutions;
- solutions for injections;
- sterile powders — injectable forms of antibacterial drugs (antibiotics);
- propofol — a short-acting agent for general anesthesia.
The new production site is equipped with modern high-tech equipment: the installed lines require high-precision pumping and packaging equipment, which makes it possible to produce sterile dosage forms in compliance with international quality standards.
The launch has become an important milestone for the Far Eastern economy: 480 jobs have been created at the new plant. The project strengthens the region's medicine security and ensures the availability of vital drugs for patients, reducing dependence on imports.
Farmasyntez Group is one of Russia's leading biopharmaceutical companies, uniting enterprises in St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Bratsk, Irkutsk, Ussuriysk, Kaluga and Moscow. The opening of the Ussuriysk site is another step in building full-cycle capacity under the import substitution strategy.
