More than 250 companies involved in the production of cosmetics and household chemicals have begun to label their products three months before the mandatory labeling of these categories of goods is set to take effect, according to the Center for Development of Prospective Technologies (CDPT)

According to reports, 253 manufacturers have already started producing goods with a unique code three months before the introduction of mandatory labeling. More than 3.3 million such items are already in circulation.

In total, over 1,600 producers of cosmetics and household chemicals have been registered. Participants in the market still have time to prepare for mandatory labeling and can choose appropriate equipment, decide how and where to place the codes by participating in the experiment, which will continue for another month.

The CDPT reminds that a support program has been launched in the country to assist small and medium-sized businesses in connecting to the "Honest Sign" marking system, allowing market participants to apply for a 50% reimbursement of equipment costs. To date, 66 companies have taken advantage of this program, which will remain in effect until February 28, 2025.
