In the Voronezh region, the creation of an efficient and environmentally safe production of emulsifiers and medium-chain triglycerides for the food industry and other sectors has been announced. Currently, these components are 100 percent imported.
LLC "Evdakovo" (part of the GK "Efko") plans to meet 70 percent of this market’s demand with domestic products by 2029.
The enterprise already produces a wide range of food ingredients, margarines, and vegan butter, as well as developing effective feed additives for the agro-industrial complex.
"Currently, the company is beginning the implementation of a new investment project at the Evdakovo plant in the Kamensky District of Voronezh Oblast. Our goal is to create an efficient and environmentally safe production of emulsifiers and medium-chain triglycerides to ensure Russia's independence from imported supplies," noted the company’s CEO, Yevgeny Lyashenko.
This investment project could become unique for our country. In its first phase, it will involve the production of six types of high-tech ingredients in demand in the food and cosmetic industries, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and other sectors. These include several varieties of emulsifiers, as well as medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which are essential in producing infant formula and are also widely used in sports nutrition.
In the future, the product range will expand, including technological solutions for ice cream manufacturers.
Upon reaching full capacity, the plant plans to produce over eight thousand tons of the new product annually.
"The project is quite extensive: investments in it will amount to 2.6 billion rubles, with plans to produce 8.4 thousand tons of product per year. The enterprise will create 52 jobs, and the total tax revenue to all levels of the budget over ten years will reach 1.6 billion rubles," concluded the region’s governor, Alexander Gusev.
At this stage, the company has already contracted equipment and developed project documentation.
Expert Opinion
Alexander Gusev, Governor of Voronezh Oblast:
"As a candidate in chemical sciences, I found it interesting to examine the details of the project. Especially since the components planned for production are not currently manufactured in Russia. This is an intriguing project that meets all requirements for especially significant investment projects, and it will receive the appropriate support measures."
