The Atlas Printhead technology can either be mounted onto one of Buskro’s transport bases as an integrated stand-alone system, or onto third party equipment to add high-speed variable print functionality. For more complex applications such as duplex printing, read/print, and generally where product tracking, inspection and print integrity is required, Compose IQ can be configured or upgraded to include these advanced functions.
Leveraging over 25 years of piezo inkjet experience and powered by Compose IQ, Buskro has devised the Atom as an all-in-one portable printer incorporating the ink bottle and delivery system, head support and image generation electronics, printer module, and operator controls encased in a rugged body and mount construction. For simple variable data print jobs, with its portability, the Atom can easily be fitted into existing production lines and workflows; All you need is the connection to “Just Add Data” supplied by either Compose IQ or other third party software.
Aurora inkjet systems, employing UV curable inks in combination with an LED curing lamp, are perfect for imaging onto the widest variety of substrates including glossy paper, CR80 plastic cards, poly-wrap and even metal, all at high speeds. At the heart of all Aurora print systems, a BK1710 controller is responsible for supplying the intelligence and support elements that deliver variable data print at high-speeds and in the right location. As with any print system that operates with UV curable inks, Aurora requires a curing lamp that emits the appropriate amount of light dosage at the right wavelength to “dry” the resulting print.
The Quantum is a fully featured print system that integratesthe electronics, ink management, and print module subsystems into the body of the printer making it an industryleader in portability and fl exibility. The Quantum 4C printer, equipped with a set of 4 separate colour print modules (C,M,Y,K) further supported by Compose IQ colour management software, is capable of printing variable and fixed color images at high-speed in single pass mode on a wide variety of cut-sheet or web-fed materials. Compose IQ’s layout editor seamlessly imports common colour graphic files such as PDF, bitmap and jpeg and gives you the ability to resize them to fit within the image constraints while minimizing colour and detail distortion while doing so. Due to its relatively small drop size, the Quantum 4C deposits plenty of smaller ink drops resulting in a smooth, consistent image. Complementing this are two UV ink formulations for the Quantum 4C that can be selected to best meet your printing needs.
Buskro offers a suite of LED curing lamp kits to pair with Aurora, Atom, and Quantum UV printheads and includes a number of options to satisfy both the typical and unique curing needs of a particular substrate. Buskro LED curing solutions include models of 75mm, 150, 225, and 375mm widths devised specifically to work with Aurora, Atom, or Quantum series printheads. LED curing lamps are highly-efficient devices that project a surprising amount of intense blinding light energy onto a very narrow region, which if left exposed, rapidly generates a high concentration of heat onto the projected surface.
Intended for late-stage personalization of labels, BUSKRO Digital Label Press (DLP) is a high-volume inkjet printing solution that outputs a high-resolution print image when you want to add variable data images to your labels while minimizing both waste and production time. Designed to accommodate labels up to 5” (127mm) wide, either in a single or multi-lane layout, with a maximum roll diameter of 19” (482mm) on a standard 3” (76mm) core, the DLP can produce variable images at speeds up to 190 fpm (60 m/min) on a wide variety of materials including most common paper label stocks, both plastic and metal film, and textiles. Twin servo-driven spools, constant tension control and a smooth motion profile ensures optimal print conditions and precise label stopping and positioning; characteristics vital for the successful operation of the system. The thread path is kept compact and simple, conceived to quickly load the label spool with minimal front-end and back-end roll waste.
