The Longford Piggyback™ System is the fastest and most efficient way to glue (marry) pre-folded Pharmaceutical Inserts together in stacks of 2-6. The system comes in 2 standard configurations (3 station or 6 station) and utilizes Longford’s industry leading C350 friction feeders and glues the PI’s together at speeds up to 12,000 completed sets per hour. Each feeder can be equipped with bar code verification and the system comes with an inline reject with lock box to ensure incomplete or incorrect sets never enter the finished product stream. The Piggyback™ system is now available with the Longford semi-automatic tray loader to reduce labour at the discharge end and the feeders can be equipped with product autoloaders.

These high speed feeders are specifically designed to feed coupons, backer cards etc., from a roll format and cut them to the proper size and feed them into the packaging stream. The coupons can be fed flat or folded (half fold, "Z" fold, and "W" fold) and the feeder can create a "U" board from the backer stock. The PF375 was developed to feed spice packs, seasoning packs, sauce packs etc., from a continuous bandolier format and insert into the buckets of cartoning lines or into the forming tube of a VFFS.
